Not a comedy, not a drama--not a movie

I watched for 45 minutes, and quit while I had a chance. Movie sucked, plain and simple. Looooong drawn out scenes, stupidity, boring soundtrack (played as mush as diolouge)---a waste of time.

At forty five minutes I couln't see where the movie was going, but I finished it and it pulled it'self together beautifully. I agree about the long musical interludes, but the pace did pick up, and it turned out to be a sweet tender movie. I really liked it.

I guess it shows how people's tastes can be completely different. Wilby Wonderful is one of my favourite movies ever.

It's one of my favorites, too. But, it's definitely the kind of movie that some viewers just won't "get".

I guess you have to give some movies time. When I read the plot I knew it was going to go at a slower pace than other films and that was fine. I also loved the music interludes, the whole package went together brilliantly. I've seen Oscar- winning films that were so boring and ridiculous, it wasn't funny. Bring on more of these films. Not a waste of my time at all.

I almost shut it down within the first 3 minutes, due to the horrific song that played as the film started. Lyrics included "my aching chairs"! Can someone tell me what "aching chairs" are? That whole song was just whiny and unpleasant, IMO - as was the voice of the singer.

The movie was just O.K., IMO - nothing impressive about it. My feeling is that if I had given up on it within the first 3 minutes, I wouldn't have missed much. Needless to say, it's not anywhere near the top of the list of movies I enjoyed, in fact, it didn't make the list at all.

We watched it over the weekend and it starts out slow for sure but it gets better. There is a bit of comedy and a bit of drama but mostly it seems a sort of slice of life in a small town. I can definitely agree with those who say this movie isn't for everyone but overall we were glad we watched it.
