reply

reply

hell ya he played it, he's in a band, or was in a band, plus you can tell he's playen it i think

reply

YES, Bubbles definately played Closer to the Heart in that episode. I was three feet away from him and Alex Lifeson playing together. That moment was one of the greatest Trailer Park scenes of all and it was filmed live, the very first day of filming in Season 3. Consider it confirmed!

Jeremy Timmons, 1st AD that season

reply

Well obviously. How would you go about filming it if it wasn't live?

Cheddar, "Filmed Live" is a reference term to mean that the visual sequence and the audio were recorded at the same time. There was no overlay of either another musician or Bubbles playing. What was played "on the day" was what you saw and heard. Next time I will put it in idiot terms for ya, k. Maybe I should run it thru a Speak-n-Spell for the "challenged" fans.

Finally, someone who caters to us less intellectually gifted fans. Thank you.

"Maybe I should run it thru a Speak-n-Spell for the "challenged" fans"

Hahahaha, I had a speak n spell when I was a kid!

reply

Well, Jeremy, I think you were too harsh in your reaction to Cheddar's comment. Countless times, the phrase, "filmed before a live audience" precedes the a tv show's opening. Evidently, producers believe there is the option to "film before a dead audience." What is meant is that it was, "filmed live before an audience." Run that idiot term that thru your "Speak-n-Spell" before feeling superior to other posters. Lighten up.

The real guy who plays Bubbles is basically a life long fan of Rush, totally loves them, and it was actually his dream just to jam with any of them. The show made it happen, I saw him talking about it in an interview. It was like a highlight of his life according to him, and he also said that yes, he did actually play for real.

My body's a cage, it's been used and abused...and I...LIKE IT!!
