Read It All Before You Comment!!!!

You have to grant the Patriots credit, they took advantage of the breaks they were given. However, the plain truth of the matter was that Brady's fumble in the snow game against the Raiders was a bad call. Oakland recovered the fumble and should have been able to run out the clock. If the officials called it the way it happened, Oakland would have won that year instead. That said, you still have to keep playing around that. New England beat the Steelers fair and square, because the Steelers for the most part are choke artists. If the Rams and Patriots played that Super Bowl again, St. Louis would have killed the Patriots. New England won because the Rams took them lightly. And when the Rams began to play seriously, it was too late. So, granted, Tom Brady did a great job, but the Patriots were lucky that year's playoffs rather than good. What bothers me about New England is their inability to blow out a Super Bowl. That's why people are not convinced of them. I see it as a win being a win. Period. But had they blown out the Panthers and/or the Eagles and Rams, New England would be more respected for their three Super Bowl wins. Plus the fact that they went 8-8 the one year they didn't win. Nobody bothers to remember that. That said, the only reason New England beat Philadelphia was because Donovan McNabb panicked. Had he played the way he was capable of playing, Philly would have won instead. Hope that answers a few questions about why there are so many doubters of the Patriots, even still. This is not to say that I am on anybody's bandwagon, but it may clarify why New England is such a hated team. Also, I am not blaming the bad call against Oakland on the Patriots, they just played the game. Feel free to comment what you feel on this.

Wrong, the Patriots won because of *beep* calls by the refs. The Rams got screwed.
