The First For The Patriots

Superbowl XXXVI was the final stop for the arrival of the New England Patriots as champions. With uncertainty surrounding the Patriots' quarterback situation, the team was not favored by anyone outside of the organization, but proved the doubters wrong.

MVP: Greatest game winning-drive in the history of the NFL. End of story

INT For TD?: You're looking at a game based on 2005 rules, the game happened 3 (your post) now four years ago. Besides it was inncidental contact.

Threw The Ball Away: Throwing the ball away is perfectly legal. I dont remember the exact play you're talking about, and honestly, I dont' think you do either.

Fag Brady?: Oh, yeah right. His Girlfriend is an actressed named Bridget Moyinhan.

Hate the Pats? Jealously, plain and simple.

You are owned.

Yeah I hate Brady too I watched this 4 years ago and I've been against New England and Tom Brady since.I'm pissed about him appearing in the Super Bowl this year because his team lost fair and square yet for the 4th time in 5 years I'm forced to that fag on my TV.

Oh, jealous, jealous losers.

Maybe you should stop worshipping the "Gift that was XXXVI" site and actually learn something about football.

And oh, by the way, the J.R. Redmond play (supposedly was tackled in bounds on final drive) was successfully rebutted by yours truly. The author of the "scammed XXXVI" site has my pictures to do so up there.

Visual evidence (no, not that grainy video on the site) places Brady outside of the pocket.

I don't know that the game was a scam. You have to give the Patriots credit. They played a good game. However, I am not convinced that the New England Patriots were the better team. If they played again, the Rams would have killed the Patriots. The Patriots got lucky ever since the tuck rule cheated Oakland of a road victory that they had earned. There was also a play in the AFC Championship in Pittsburgh the next week, there was a blocked field goal returned for a touchdown that involved an illegal forward pass. They played better in the Super Bowl, but if the Rams took the Patriots seriously, the Rams would have been champs instead. End of story.

The entire dynasty of the Patriots has been a mere scam, from cover-ups, to *beep* calls, and cheating scandals. -Will they ever really win a Superbowl with legit shame?

reply

They have won THREE Superbowls without cheating, or shame. Go cry in your towels boys. The Patriots are the real deal in the NFL, and 16-0 was just the start. Get ready for the biggest regular season record maker in the history of the NFL, hell they might even go 16-0 again. Yes, they lost the Superbowl this year but life goes on. They have the 7th pick in the NFL draft, and they have Moss for three more years and have Brady forever and ever. Lawrence Maroney can only get better, and Wes Welker will catch every ball that comes to him. I mean, you are all just jealous, will you finally just admit it? If you aren't impressed by now, you never will and you are just a jealous and bitter.

Your team (whatever it is) just isn't better than the Patriots, they are the best. I can't say anything different because then I would be the liar, not you.

LOL tell that one to the Giants, *beep*

Eli 1 superbowl < Brady 3.

So, yeah, I just did.

reply

LOL, don't you mean:

Eli 1 Superbowl > Adam Viniateri 4

Yeah, the truth hurts.

reply

No, I don't. Brady led them down the field every time, Vinateri just kicked the ball through. Also, Vinateri didn't do much in the Colts Superbowl. So if you count that, then Brady's count is still 3 because he did way more to win especially getting them to the Playoffs, and in field position. Just accept it, the Pats are the best in history. One lucky victory for the Giants doesn't change that. Even the Yankees lose sometimes, but they are still the best ever.

reply

Yeah but Brady didn't win them the big games, he's just the example of team effort, not the sort of single-handed clutch QB of Joe Montana and Elway's sort, who put every thing they had into finishing the job themselves. -Not letting their clutch kicker finish the job on over many occasions. -And the surprising thing is that ever since Vinateri left, the Pats haven't really won a SB since! Brady lacks the settle confidence during the big games in which a clutch QB requires(specially during the 2006 AFC Championship).

Records and numbers mean nothing when you go an entire season undefeated, but get clobbered in the big game that counts. -That's almost more pathetic than finding out they had possibly cheated their way to Superbowls -alone! Oh and here's something funny, for being the "BEST IN HISTORY" they're the only franchise in NFL history to lose a SB under their dynasty decade! Unacceptable.
