Why the title 'Noel'?

Could anybody explain why the movie is called "Noel"?

LMAO, yeah you have your answer, what a dumb question, it's like asking... Why the title ''Batman'' because it's a Batman movie ;)

noel is french for christmas .. so maybe thats why!

yes, Wicked Princess, that's exactly why it is titled NOEL.

however it is not spelled correctly...I was also confused by this. Noel has the 2 little dots over the e.....unless americans spell it differently. I thought before I watched this that there was a character named noel. Masculine version of Noelle. heh but apparently not.

Yeah, we Americans don't bother with diacritics. We write facade instead of façade or resume instead of resumé, and so forth. We tend to simplify words and spellings. Just ask the English.
