It's funny, I agree with the original poster in a way. I just finished watching the film. I liked Jonathan Tucker in the Black Donnellys - I had never seen him before and I remember the trailers were killer. He was definitely compelling to me in that. Since then, I've seen him in Cherry Crush and parts of some uninteresting military themed thing.
With this film, his performance was whoo, not so good, but I could tell it was because no one was filing him down at that point in his career. I question the director, unless Tucker was so rough this was this best they could do. He was much more polished later on in BD(I was sorry to see that show not make it; it had a lot of potential).
At any rate, Jeremy Renner was the most compelling to me in this - he looks like an actor that could crack open if he gets his teeth in the right thing.
The writing I felt was ouch, heavily cliched, so that's what I'd attribute anyone saying this is a quotable movie - it's already familiar, banal. Office Space is brilliant. This is not.
I thought the casting of Dori was very quirky. I appreciate quirkiness. I haven't seen that actress before.
Overall, I did watch the whole thing.
