best manson performance ever ?

I've seen quite a few actors portray charles manson, some good amd some jaw droppingly BAD.... but jeremy did the best job I've seen so far. Is there a better manson performance than this ?

I agree, Liam. I think Jeremy was VERY good, but my favorite is Steven Railsback's performance.

Steven Railsback performance was so good, you actually believed you were watching Manson at times..

There is another thread on the board that talks about how bad this performance was; how over the top it was. Utter hogwash. This was a great performance. If Jack Nicholson had been tapped to play Manson back in the early 1970s he would have given them the same performance and it would have been praised.

Jeremy nailed *part* of Manson, but stayed stuck in it. He kept Manson in over-the-top creepy-twitchy mode the whole time, and Manson wasn't like that all the time. He would never have gotten followers if he was constantly shifty and darting his eyes around and whispering. Manson only acts that way when he's clowning for a camera. It was an impressive take on one aspect of Manson, but overall, Steve Railsback did a more complete and frightening picture.

In his book, Tex Watson talked about how kind, gentle, sensitive and loving Charlie could be. His followers were personally devoted to him for those reasons. That was one reason they obeyed him so blindly. The violence came later.

You can see that side of him if you listen to his music. The artist and poet.

Don't worry, I'm NOT a Manson moonie.

We got a job.
