Evil Aliens Rocks! JAKE WEST is the new Sam Raimi/Peter Jackson hybrid!

Evil Aliens is one of a new breed of horror action flicks. Using the latest Hi Def video techniques this tour de force starts well and keeps on getting better as it rockets along. From the stylish opening sequence amongst the mystic standing stones, through to the Blitzkrieg alien chase sequence, this film keeps several tongues jammed into cheeks as it sprays, blood, body parts and fluids across the desolate countryside of the mysterious welsh Island of Scaleum. The film is peppered with underlying humorous references to many other films from the horror back catalogue, and displays a superb grasp and love of the genre. The musical blood bath amongst the Aliens to the tune of the Wurzels “I’ve got a brand new combine Harvester” had the audience I was in howling with delight.

It is one of the best comedy horror films on the circuit bar none and once it goes on general release will probably rocket Jake West’s name into orbit alongside other directors like Peter Jackson who trod the bloody trail of horror through Brain-dead, and The Frighteners into mainstream blockbusters like Lord of the Rings and King Kong. So look out Peter, he’s behind you!
