"stupid" I suggest you revert to four letter words, probably more your style. and of course don't explain why you think the movie is "stupid". are you a teenager, or do you have some other excuse?

"Stupid" just sum all of it up, and "Stupid" was my opinion. What does using the SIX letter word stupid have to do with being a teenager?

It sometimes boosts up a poster's ego when they point out that using 6 letter words or less dilute your intelligence or somehow automatically make you a teenage poster.

And don't worry, I thought the movie was STOOPID too. Oh, look! I used seven! Senior citizens here I come...

This film, I felt, was acerbic and discursive. It was rife with nefarious and mendacious elements. I wouldn't go as far and call it penurious but it came scurrilously close! It made me feel somnolent and staid.

Per above user, describe why you didnt like it. I personally think it was one of the best movies I've seen and provides an accurate representation of the lives of some of the people marginalized out of the lives of ordinary people. Some events are hard to decipher for an average viewer, but even then, the acting is some of the best, no hanky-panky jokes. There is no doubt that this movie was a sleeper hit and represents Peter Coyote's abilities.

I'd love to get the chance to find out if it was "stupid"....I can't seem to find it on Region 2 dvd anywhere...anyone got any clues as to whether it's gonna be released on R2 or am I gonna have to try and programme my dvd player for R1 dvds?????????????????

I wouldn't call it stupid. Dull and pointless, yes. Lucas Black is very good though, he commands the screen and holds your interest, no small feat considering the material at hand. Film falls neatly into the 'why bother' category. The DVD is not anamorphic, which, at this point in time is unforgivable, especially at full price.

Agreed about Lucas Black, he was excellent. Everyone else was too. I'm getting really sick of these movies that show you scenes as if they're really happening and then they turn out to be all in someone's head. The audience takes scenes in a movie as real on faith. Saying they're imagined afterwards is just so easy and such a betrayal of the audience's trust, and it's getting annoying how often this is done. It doesn't seem ingenious or well thought-out. It seems like a lazy half-assed attempt to write a story without having to put much effort in.

Its even worse when half way through the movie they give away that Nat might be disillusional. When he thinks hes talking to Iris through the window of one of the rooms, then he see's her walking from her house, when Finch comes to get him.

Well I've tried to watch this movie three times so far and just find myself doing other things, like laundry or dishes instead. I'm going to try to watch it one more time. A friend loaned it to me and told me it was really good, I may have to find a new friend.

It was kind of pointless. But as far as stories where the main character turns out to be insane go, I found it believable. The actor brought some pathos to Nat, which made him human and it was kind of sad at the end.

Ok, 1st off, this film is good,..most ways you look @ it..ok, now on to the main topic...bitches whinning about the film being "stupid,dull,boring,pointless...(etc.)"! everyone, quite your bitchin', because the film had to spark some of your egotistical interest in the first place 4 any of you too have said *beep* about it!...but hey!...i just guess this is a whole "waste of time" anyways...

The main reason why I wanted to see this movie and why it spark my apparent "egotistical interest" was because it had Lucas Black in it, alright. Which is mostly likely the reason why others would want to see this god awful piece of *beep* movie too. And for the record I was not bitching about the fact this movie was bad. I just said it ended up being stupid and I didn't care for it in the end. Here is the bitching for you: I wasted $2.50 in renting this movie.

i Actually Liked it. kinda overdone in a few places...but hell this Aint Exactly Oscar worthy ya know?? Besides i found it for 3.99 what the hell ya know?
