The writer Len Blum

He's famous for his writing for classics like Stripes, Heavy Metal and Meatballs that him and Daniel Goldberg as a duo were writing for, and along with Steve Martin as a very sophisticated writer (Roxanne, LA Story, Shopgirl) this film turned out to be undoubtedly among the very best they did, it just feels like their type of cartoonish style of humour was behind this, I could only imagine what kind of a film this would be if Ivan Reitman was directing it and Walt Disney studio was backing it instead. The more time you watch this film, the more unique, ingenious and memorable it becomes while leaving a lasting impact, I prefer this Clouseau over Sellers's even though I grew up on the old ones which I love, yet I would adore this one as a little kid just the same for sure.
