I would like to see this one tested. In movies you always see someone just smack the end of the bottle on a table and get a nice jagged crown which is good for stabbing, but I suspect that it's not that easy in real life.
Unless Alpert's covered in bacon grease, I don't think Hugo can track anything.
They did do a bar brawl episode but it was more about breaking the bottle over someone's head. It turned out to be rather hard to get them to break if I remember right.
