So no actual myth in the finale?

We're just going to blow stuff up and destroy props for an hour?
Watching Adam drive the truck to destroy all their stuff made me a little sad.

Looks like they just wanted to have some fun one last time. Also, let's be honest, they ran out of myths years ago

Death to shakeycam directors!

They Didn't go big enough.
If they couldn't get an exemption to the Nuclear Test ban treaty,
they could have at least gotten a Moab for a final explosion.

How about a myth about crashing a Jet or MH370, lots of surplus planes around.

reply

A plane crash would have been nice. When a plane was intentionally crashed in Mexico a few years ago, which the Discovery Channel had a hand in, they had trouble controlling it remotely because they followed it in a smaller plane that could barely keep up and used a controller like you'd get with an toy RC car instead of something with greater range and stronger signals. Lots of data and stuff to study & analyze but it almost didn't happen because the equipment sucked.

it would have been more meaningful if they hadn't already blown that cement truck up a second time not that long ago.

reply

if they were the actual props used in the shows (and not mock-up recreations to represent the myths, which some seemed to be), someone might regret their loss one day, should they run low on cash, I'm sure some of those things could've been auctioned off, or gone to a place like the Pawn Stars' shop
