Final destruction

While I think it's cool for the Mythbusters to use super plow to destroy stuff, I am surprised at what some of the stuff is. Some of the items I would think they would want to keep as a reminder of what they've created. The item that prompted me to write this message is the Lunar Lander model. That seems like a great piece to hold on to. It must have taken them hours to make and it looked great. I would also think the shark, the Porsche and the rocket car from the original episode would have fetched some good money in an auction. Did anyone else see something that you would think they would want to keep for keepsake?

yeah, why would they auction it off the charity when they can just destroy it. I think it was very symbolic in the way they destroyed this show during the years. The last thing in the line should have been a pile of garbage that represented "The Final Season"

HA HA HA HAAAAA!
Pulled the plug way too late on this show.

If you listen to the Tested Podcast most of this stuff if not all of it was rebuilt just for this shot.

I'm not sure how much they saved over the years. They would have to rent a warehouse somewhere to store all of it. Also I think M5 moved a few times which would prompt a bit of spring cleaning if it was stored in the shop.

Thanks for the info. Good to know that they didn't wreck so many of their props.

You are probably right about the occasional spring cleaning. Sometimes they recycle their props and builds, too, and reuse them in new myths.

Oh and Adam saved a few pieces from that path of destruction. Like thd head of the shark.
