I don't know but I always liked when something that seemed impossible actually turned out be confirmed or at least plausible.

The toilet paper rope is a great example.

Your right to an opinion does not equal an opinion that is right

I have two favorites:

Salsa Escape Myth:
It's one of my favorites because it combines many of the elements that I loved about early Mythbusters.
*You get to see a set being built, and Christine and Scottie were involved in the build.
*Adam shows off his imagination, his ability to think outside the box, his sense of humor, his enthusiasm.
*Jamie shows off his patience, cleverness, knowledge, and experience that usually puts him ahead of Adam in these competitions.
*We get to see an unexpected result from an unexpected product.

Lead Balloon Myth:
Another all time favorite for me that shows all the thinking and planning they go through to test a myth.
*Adam and Jamie each creating their own proof of concept balloon (and talking in helium voice)
*Jamie trying to locate the many rolls of lead foil they would need and seen briefly talking in German on the phone.
*Adam going through many diagrams and models to finally find the ideal design for the lead balloon.
*The unexpected solution of running the tape against their facial hair to cut down on static. Imagine all the tape that was used!
*The collection of tools they needed for every possible situation during the flat construction (the crane that positions Adam over the site so that he can spot and repair any tears that he sees, the bootie slippers to carefully step down on the lead foil when necessary, the large plastic tarp to keep the balloon anchored down as Jamie tries to slowly and evenly inflate the balloon, spray adhesive to patch up new holes as the balloon inflated).
*The final touch of the basket with the paper figures of Adam and Jamie.

At the end the inflated lead balloon was presented like the beautiful creation it was, and you could see how delighted and proud they were of the results. What a shame that they had to destroy it at the end.

Are elephants afraid of mice?

That wasn't even a main myth. They just did it because they were near some elephants as a throwaway. I don't think anyone thought what would happen happened. My jaw literally dropped when the elephant jumped back.

My all time favorite myth is the shredded plane myth. When I saw the myth actually worked, I could not believe it. The look on Adam's face was priceless.

I gotta admit the elephants afraid of mice? was a great experiment. Funny, I've always believed they were afraid of mice but it was just fantastic to see it confirmed. Mice are just so small and creatures that any intelligent animal is going to be shocked at 1. They look real and 2. Not only are they real, they actually scurry around.

Plane on a conveyor belt.

Great way to show the science literacy of the public and not thinking through the problem.

I was agast when the pilot didn't think it would take off =:O.

Oh and when they flattened a car with the rocket sled. Perfect example of inertia.
