i think it's real

as chairman of the mockumentary committe for the slamdance film festival, it is my expert opinion that perry was not in on the joke. too many of his reactions could not be duplicated by even the most gifted of actors. as for the jimmy kimmel/don barris debate, i'm not sure if beefsteak's theory deserves the intense wrath incurred on this message board. while watching the movie for the first time, i commented aloud on numerous occasions how much don barris reminded me of jimmy kimmel. the fact that we never see the two of them together only adds suspicion. many comics have alter egos that fool fans. andy kauffman for example. i think jimmy kimmel is talented enough to pull it off. however, if don barris is jimmy kimmel, that doesn't necessarily mean this was a blair witch scenario. it simply adds another layer to an already impressive prank.
