the greatest mystery: real or not real?

the greatest mystery to plague mankind has been and remains: is wch real or not. Any ideas?

reply

no mystery my friend. it's as real as it gets. i've had the distinct pleasure of kickin it and having my own "fun" with mr. carravello. he's awesome!

reply

so you are saying you know Mr. Carravello. hm, would you like to expand on that at all. Are you famous as well? Also if you know him what is he up to now. Why hasn't he done anything sense (talkshows, interviews, etc.). That is why I don't think it is real. It is like he went into hiding after it was out (Actually now that i think about it, i geuss i would too ha).

reply

Well....he hasn't done anything since because he doesn't even have an agent and he is not the most saught after leading man. Also, this film wasn't really a huge hit, except with us cult fanatics who embraced it wholly.

reply

yeah but haven't you seen that vh1 or mtv's 40 greatest pranks? They do pranks that suck ass. You would think that it would make it at least to something like that. Or I would think that comedy central would get him for an interview. Listening to his thoughts on the film would be hilarious. Anyways, if it is fake that means perry is an amazing actor.

That's probably because there was no big "YOU'VE JUST BEEN PUNK'D!" moment at the end, which is apparently a source of contentment with people. The thing they don't understand is that Perry is incredibly dense, childish, and egotistical, and that a "reveal" like that wouldn't have worked. The bonus feature on the DVD, where they show the actual film to him for the first time, proves this, as he watches the whole thing and still doesn't have a clue.

no i'm not famous. perry hangs out at the rainbow room all the time. he's legit and nuts. me and some friends set up a "business meeting" with him one day about starring in a film with angelina jolie as his leading lady. it was amazing fun. we also prank call him a couple times a week... i do know right now that perry is following tornados in the south and midwest with a team of "scientists" to determine "how tornados 'really' work", and they're making a documentary with it. should be "interesting"... to my knowledge, the only reason wch has had any airtime or that it was even made, was because of jimmy kimmel backing it. comedy central doesn't really care for it and aren't puting any funding behind it. hence no airtime or publicity... also from what i understand, after the film was made, they told perry that that the money man didn't like the final cut of the movie and was a fan of punk'd and wanted to cut the movie to look like a prank. so don said "well since i'm the star of the movie, i want the prank to be on me", and mole said the same thing. needless to say, perry said "i'm the star and i should be the main guy in the prank". and there we are. which is why perry doesn't feel he's the real but of a joke, but still the star of a movie... if you believe it's fake, that's fine. that means they did a great job. if you want to be convinced more, go to www.dingdongshow.com and get don barris's email address and email him.

I just watched this for the first time and based on the movie itself and the reveal special feature, either this whole thing is an act or Perry is seriously dense. Watching the reveal had me wondering. That high-pitched screaming thing he does seems like it's totally put on. With the temper that he seems to have during the movie, it's surprising nobody ended up getting completely laid out when he was angry. When Mole wrecks the table for the Japanese investor and it looks like the entire film was getting canceled, it seems like Perry showed a lot of restraint even if he was screaming.

It was pretty funny, though...but I definitely find it hard to believe he wouldn't have realized this guys were pulling a prank on him...unless of course he is extremely dense.
