This film made me physically ill.

I watched this film, mesmerized and terrified for two hours. I was crying and shaking by the end of it. And then I puked.

Perhaps the physical reaction was just really bad timing, but this film truly unsettled me. Maybe it's because I'm still young enough to be optimistic about life. Maybe it's because I would like to believe that life evolves into something finer and more beautiful than simple routine.

In any case --- did this movie terribly depress/scare the living *beep* out of anyone else?

When I first read the comments in this thread I was surprised by the fact that several people felt physically ill from watching this. Now, I actually recall myself feeling nauseus toward the end of the film, to the point that I had to sit down and take some deep breaths (I was watching it standing). So not sure it's related to the film, but it happened to me as well.

this was kaufmanns debut as a director and it was a bad one, also try to avoid his other movie (anomalisa) which is also completely shitty and boring as this one.

Once you've reached a certain age this is pretty much a horror film.
