Who was best casted?

Moe and Curly were awesomely casted.

Larry, I feel, lacked a bit.

The word is "cast", not "casted". Sorry about that.
But I think you're totally right otherwise. I thought Chris Longgreekname was just almost scary in how much he embodied Moe, and will Sasso was a good Curly. Sean Haynes, however, just didn't quite make it as Larry. there were even a couple of scenes where he actually fell out of Larry's voice and into his own voice. I'm a little surprised they didn't catch and fix that.

Haha right, sorry about the spelling mistake. I wasn't sure but went with it anyways.

Yeah Larry was a bit off, it was weird. But his physical comedy work was great though.

reply

Moe IMO was the best casted, I thought Curly was great but I thought Larry was alright at best

reply

Larry was never known for saying funny things. His facial expressions and reactions made him funny. And Sean Hayes didn't bring that to the table. Moe and Curly on the other hand were excellent.

reply

"Larry was never known for saying funny things"?
I disagree.

The first that comes to mind took place when the Stooges were hiding from some bad guys in a hotel room, and Larry had to leave for some reason. This exchange followed:

Larry: "Maybe we should use a password when I come back so you'll know it's me instead of our adversaries."

Moe: "'Adversaries?' You know, you're pretty smart for an imbecile."

Larry [beaming with pride]: "Thank you."

Moe: "What password should we use?"

Larry: "How about, 'Open the door'?"

Billy West based Stimpy's voice on the man on the grounds that everybody does Curly or Moe but nobody does Larry.

reply

Billy West is a genius, in my opinion THE greatest voice actor of all time, and as Sean Hayes has said "Billy does the best Larry Fine voice ever". Hayes was the only one I was sceptic about when the first trailer hit the web, but I got to say, he did a great job, and working with Billy really paid off, the voice was just spot on for most of the time. Curly and Moe were of course excellent.

Chris Diamantopoulos leads the film admirably!

I wholeheartedly agree.
I would like to add that Will Sasso was born to play Curly.
There was no need to bring the story into modern times, though. All in all, this film could have been much better, and the Jersey Shore mooks nearly ruined it.

Sincerely, yahmez the mad.

While Sean and Will did an incredible job in their roles Chris Diamantopoulos as Moe was simply astonishing to watch, it was as if he were possessed by Moe Howard!

Absolutely agree. Lol, more than once I had to convince myself I wasn't watching the original Moe.

reply

Will did a great Curly but Chris as Moe was perfect. Sean didn't even feel like he was even playing Larry. I don't think it was Sean's fault, Larry was most likely poorly written because as like someone mentioned on here, Larry is the background stooge that makes the facial responses to what's happening with Moe and Curly. Larry was also the hardest stooge to impersonate because of his voice and you have to at least look some what like Larry to pull him off.

adult Moe and the 3 stooges as kids :)

Moe and Curly. I still thought Sean did a great job as Larry though.

reply

I think the two guys in the hospital in full body casts were the best "Casted".
