Doesn't anyone else just find it extremly silly that anyone would just keep fishing after finding a dead body? I just don't think this situation would really happen. I mean they would've sent at least ONE person back to report it, i just find this slightly unbeleivable.
My only qeury with an otherwise excellent film.
Seeing as this is a movie telling a story I dont find it hard to believe at all, I think the point of cinema is to show different things, that way there IS a story to tell. So the guys report the body..Ok..End of story.
Instead, they DONT report the body and it makes us wonder as human beings how the hell someone could NOT tell anyone and instead fish and enjoy the weekend..I think it makes for a VERY interesting story.

I thought the reactions to what they did were over the top. If I was in that situation I wouldn't know what to do. I would be freaked out a probably feeling very sick inside. I would probably try to get the body out of the water at least though and call the police (although there was no mobile range). But they accepted that they had made a mistake and were sorry, they really deserved forgiveness..its not like they committed the murder. People do stupid things at don't think right at the time it counts the most.

shareKitty Genovese has nothing to do with this. In that case, everyone assumed other people would call 911 and didn't want to get involved. In this case, they really really wanted to catch some nice fish, so they tied up the dead, nude body of a 19 year old and had a swell old time for the weekend.
