Where's the ghost story?

When I borrowed this movie, I was led to believe it was some sort of a ghost story. Watching it, it seemed to allude to some ghost story. The kids were weird at times, especially the little girl. The young guy taking a leak by the power pylon, getting strange vibes from the spooky music. Every so often, the movie hinted at something supernatural. Some "secret" was mentioned on the DVD liner notes.

The acting was great. Everybody was believable in their role. The shooting was good, the locations were beautiful, and it gave a believable look at Australian life in a small town.

It just seemed to have some untied threads in the plot. It led me to expect more of a story.

I totally agree. don't get me wrong, it was an ok film but given the build up and the way it was depicted in the trailer I was just waiting for something "extra" ordinary to happen and it never did so was a little frustrated. It moved along at such a slow pace I really needed that extra something to happen by the end.

"... a-a-and what if we're wrong and that is MacReady out there???"
"THEN WE'RE WRONG"
