Shouldn't they have been concerned the killer(s) was out there?
One thing that wasn't addressed. When they found the dead girls body they didn't seem to be at all concerned that the killer, or possibly killers, for all they knew, was still out there in the wilderness somewhere, possibly watching them. Shouldn't that thought have at least crossed their minds at least once? Shouldn't they have been a bit fearful or paranoid? Shouldn't they have been worried they could be next? True, they were four adult males but even so they didn't seem to have any firearms that I could see and a killer(s) would have plenty of concealment from which to strike, especially at night. They didn't even seem to stay close and tight together in a 'buddy' system. I mean it was clear to them the girl didn't exactly die a natural death and it seems to me they should have been alarmed that they might have stumbled on the stomping grounds of some twisted serial killer or maniac or something? I would think simple prudence and desire for self-preservation would motivate them to leave immediately.
