Shouldn't they have been concerned the killer(s) was out there?

One thing that wasn't addressed. When they found the dead girls body they didn't seem to be at all concerned that the killer, or possibly killers, for all they knew, was still out there in the wilderness somewhere, possibly watching them. Shouldn't that thought have at least crossed their minds at least once? Shouldn't they have been a bit fearful or paranoid? Shouldn't they have been worried they could be next? True, they were four adult males but even so they didn't seem to have any firearms that I could see and a killer(s) would have plenty of concealment from which to strike, especially at night. They didn't even seem to stay close and tight together in a 'buddy' system. I mean it was clear to them the girl didn't exactly die a natural death and it seems to me they should have been alarmed that they might have stumbled on the stomping grounds of some twisted serial killer or maniac or something? I would think simple prudence and desire for self-preservation would motivate them to leave immediately.

Excellent point - it was obvious she had been murdered, she hadn't accidentally drowned, so I would have gotten the hell out of there!

I think you should thikn about the difference between city life and rural area life. You are so right when it comes to city life. When I look at the movie I see few houses few people spread over a large area,it is like isolated swedish villages. In such circumstances I think crim is easy to commit and for police it is very difficult to find or work on it.It's like you are far away civilization and you are faced to uncivilized serial killer or murderers.

How about if corpse were not found at all? who would care? but in a city life a corpse is easily found and murderer can't get away

They were so self-centered that it didn't even occur to them they were potential victims. They were there to fish, and nothing can stand in their way of getting what they wanted. Not even a possibility of getting stabbed in their sleep. They were in denial; in order to enjoy the 'this is men's paradise' bubble, too.

In pondering the OP question, it occurs to me that being well away from any homes, it might seem clear to the guys that the victim did not live nearby, which means she had to have been brought from elsewhere, whether still alive or already deceased. That would mean that if the killer returned, it would likely be with another victim, or less likely to revisit the body for his thrills. Either way, he'd be unlikely to want to encounter 4 men, and might well assume that out in the wild, at least one of them might be armed.
