when claire was swimming, what did that man say to that child
I couldnt understand what the kid said. and while she was swimming I thought that was strange to leave her kid alone and have a good time so far away from the kid

shareclaire is definitely a disturbed woman. What I don't understanda is that her family and friend circle can't see it or pretend she's ok.
shareShe isn't "definitely a disturbed woman". She suffered from postnatal depression for 18 months after her son was born. Postnatal depression is unfortunately quite common to women in real life. It varies from mild to severe.
Why else did you think she was worried about her pregnancy? She didn't want to experience it again, and that's why she kept the pregnancy from her husband and why she considered termination.
The kid said the man had asked where the nearest motel was.
Thank you for that mcvillain.
I thought Claire was the only one in touch with reality and the oft times horrors of it..if for no other reason because she had experienced a terrible bout of postnatal depression. It's a terrible thing. The rest of them seemed terribly apathetic and out of touch, in my opinion.

I think you are the only one answering the question of the PO and I agree with you. Wasn't the man the killer, or at least the one who dropped the body in the river?
Yes.
Although it's an adaptation of an American short story, the murder of Susan is loosely based on the murder of Colleen Walker from the unsolved Bowraville murders.
