From an animation perspective - nothing new and no great exposition of the art. As entertainment - I found it laborious and quite boring. As an Oscar winner - a complete surprise.
But good on Adam Elliot - at least he's out there trying.
I agree, it wasn't groundbreaking animation, but I found it to be a touching, funny little story- and Geoffrey Rush's narration was perfect. It was really between this and The Triplets of Belville, which was far too left-field for mine- great, but really odd. I wasn't surprised that it won.
I thought it was hillarious, i loved it, i'm not sure how u could not enjoy it, perhaps u watched it at the wrong time, comedies are allways funnier when u can laugh with someone else.
