If the Italians surrendered to the Allies in September 1943,why are they fighting with the Germans in 1944 ? I know its not a documentary just seems a bit strange.

Not all of them surrendered. Some units and individual men still held onto the fascist ideals and delusions of eventual victory over the allies. Some Italian units went over to the Allies and kept fighting as well.

Also some units were drafted by the Germans.
