Water in Veeck's apartment

I've seen this movie a lot of times, but I was watching it today and noticed something so eerie. When Dahlia goes to Veeck's apartment to ask him about fixing the leak, behind him you can see a lot of containers of drinking water. I also believe earlier in the film you can see him carrying water too. He definitely knew that Natasha had been left behind, but having all of that water stored in his apartment shows he knew what happened to her body. (Even though he insisted he didn't)
