This movie is almost entirely accurate to it's book which is one of the best I've ever read, I would say about 95% accuracy here. Giving this a mere 6.5 emplies that it is almost as bad as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) which only has a 6.0 and is deserving of it since it's a huge pile of garbage, this is way better in comparison. Am I missing something here?! How did such an awesome movie get such a low score?!?!
shareA great movie indeed, with the problem that it is supposed to reflect something factual, as so-called historical novels are supposed to, but like so much of the research materials used in the writing of the book and making of the film, is demonstrably false. At least Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles doesn't pretend to be some sort of springboard to serious historical thought. It is a glorious bag of pretentious hot air. Great actors, whole cloth. For this reason, truly not a great movie. The book is much worse. For a person with a decent education it is almost unbearable to watch. That is all you are getting for free.
