Did anyone else happen to notice that during one of the phone conversations between Marisa and Victor that though there was no auido for (at least a portion of) the call, his dialogue was still subtitled? It just seemed odd. What was the situation for spanish speakers watching the movie without subtitles? Did they just miss out on the dialogue?

yes, I noticed that too. Pretty strange. I have a feeling that we were not intended to hear Victor's voice in the movie for some reason. No idea what's up with the subtitling.

shareI use the closed captions whenever possible while watching TV as I hate to miss what someone says and then have to rewind. I have noticed that this is very common, that you can read dialogue which you can not hear. Dialogue which is definitely not spoken, like it was edited out or something. I'm very curious as to why this happens.
Just as far from the topic, I wonder if there was some part somewhere which would make it seem like Victor knew or suspected about Marisa and Manolo. To me, then it would have given a reason for Victor to go against the wishes of Manolo and play the interview after being asked not to. I feel there is something we did not see there.
It is because all the birds, or were they bats? Anyway the flying animals were squaking.
