Anyone else have trouble watching this?

I've had this dvd for a week now and have attempted to watch this on 4 different occasions but can't get through it. This whole film is beyond creepy and disturbing and unrelentingly grim. I was watching it late at night and it bothered me so much and didn't want it to be the last thing on my mind before i went to sleep so i stopped it and watched an old Mystery Science Theater 3000 video to try to lighten my mood. I tried again during the daytime and still it just got under my skin for all the wrong reasons. Maybe it's a compliment to the filmmakers, but this is really repulsive.

No, I just finished watching this movie, it was a bit boring in the middle, but the first and the last 30 min. were exciting. The ending was disappointing to me at first, but after having read the thread about it I changed my mind.

This movie was actually one that WAS hard for me to stomach. So many scenes were really just...disturbing. Not in a way that made it hard for me to watch, but in a way that kept me GLUED to the telly. This was one of a handful of movies Ive seen that I really thought about for days after viewing...which is also disturbing, but IMHO good cinema!

Definitely...I'm actually surprised I was able to get through it. We watched it in class and I mentioned to my friend how it kind of bothered me (its natural for anyone to find it disturbing, but what more with people that have actually had to deal with that sort of thing?)

I'm actually feeling a little angry right now...ah.

We're watching it one of my gen. ed. classes, and all 18 of us (generally there are a lot more than 18 people in these classes, but this one is done in spanish) got up at the end of class silently. we looked at each other, thinking wow, but we all had trouble getting through it because it is so heavy!

I manage to watch the whole film but I can understand why some people couldn't get through the film.
