Sadly yes, Alfred Molina is a great actor but his spanish is AWFUL! Even worse than John Leguizamo's spanish.
And since his character was a kind of News Presenter for a show in SPANISH, I think he was miscasted.
Other actor although not as well known as him but with a perfect diction would have been a better choice for that role.

I was waiting for somebody to comment on his Spanish. It sounded good to me, but this is considering I'm a white guy who knows about 10 words of Spanish. I was wondering if people who spoke the language thought it was accurate. It was amusing to watch, though, since I know he has a full English accent in real life. I think the reason why both him and Leguizamo were cast was to appeal to American audiences, since they're both recognizable faces.

Molina's Spanish was fine, perfectly understandable, although of course he does have a slight accent. Casting him as the Spanish-speaking TV host was a bit odd I thought.

I agree I thin he did a good job, of curse he has an accent but not too terrible.
