Suck It PC Trolls!

"Lame Console owners will never get the full experience of Call Of Duty at its best!"

7 Words: CALL OF DUTY 2 ON XBOX 360.

I already bought the PC version and already preodred the xbox 360 version and lemme tell you this. From what IGN, TeamXbox, and G4 can tell us, the 360 version is better. Framerate is smoother, graphics are improved and gameplay is greater than ever. Every time a game comes out on the pc and any other platform, there is always some troll who says "HA! Xbox owners are stupid for owning an xbox!" Or some other incoherent crap spoken by someone completely void of perspective. But now the tides change. The Xbox 360 has the best hardware. I doubt it will be for too long, seeing as the PC is constantly changing. But the real point is, Call of Duty 2, Elder Scrolls: Oblivion and any other game that comes out on both platforms in the next year will look better on the 360, if the developers do it justice.

Call of Duty 2 MP supports up to 32 players(I've played on servers with 64), XBox 360 supports 8 players. I'll stick with my PC version.

8 players? What a laugh. And they call this next-gen.

ya i think 32 v 32 with potential for modding possiblities is better than 4 v 4 anyday

Whee, have fun using your controller for an FPS. Great gaming experience!..... not.

Graphics are only better on the XBOX 360 version because it came out while the XBOX was still new. Wait about 9 months and the XBOX 360 graphics will look like crap again. And unlike a PC, you will be STUCK with those graphics until the next generation comes out. Besides, MP on consoles blows and using a controller for shooters blows as well.

OMG, another PC v.s. console debate. I think I might have a seizure.

Once again, PCs and consoles have their own strengths and weaknesses. PC's are configurable, upgradable, and incredibly versatile, while quite complicated and troublesome to setup for most people. Consoles are truly plug-and-play, user-friendly, and less likely to crash (due to standardized hardware and software configurations), but are very uncustomizable and not that versatile.

Game genres are also a consideration. RTS and FPS games are far better played on a PC than a console due to the presence of a keyboard and mouse, though this is also probably going to change since most next-gen consoles already have USB ports or keyboard/mouse ports that can be used. Fighting games, racing games are also better on the console due to the flexibility of the controller, but then again, PC's can also be outfitted with racing wheels, joysticks and other game paraphernalia that aren't even available on consoles.

In the end, it will all be up to personal preference. Whatever floats your boat.

Actually, the fact is, the PC version of Call of Duty 2 is poorly optimized.

On this, admittedly, not new system:
AMD Athlon 64 3000+
1024MB RAM
ATi Radeon x1950GT 512MB

Call of Duty 4 runs at 50 FPS steady at 1600x1200 with 4x anti-aliasing, anisotropic filtering, and all other options on medium. This is all with DX9 effects, also.

Call of Duty 2, on the other hand, runs at only 35 FPS at 1280x960 with 2x anti-aliasing, trilinear filtering, DX7 effects and most options on medium. If I try to use DX9 rendering, the framerate hovers around 30 but often drops to 20, and on Pointe Du Hoc, it sometimes drops to 10.

This is on a system that can run even the newest Source engine games maxed out at playable framerates.
