Just saw this movie but as it was on T.V could not rewind so i was just wondering was Ajay's character supposed to be a college student? as in a 21 year old?

No. About 31 - he failed like 7 - 8 times. lol. It's like DJ's character in Rang De Basanti.

He didn't fail. He was a PhD student at the university but participated in university politics.
