It's rather illogical to remake Gamle mænd i nye biler since it is the prequel to I Kina spiser de hunde. Does anyone happen to know why they chose to remake the prequel instead of the original?
EDIT: Maybe they are/were hoping to remake I Kina spiser de hunde as a sequel to Vet hard or something?

I dont understand the point in remaking such a good movie anyways, considering it was not many years since the orginals were released. :(

Probably because Danish cinema is not very well-known in the Netherlands (which is a shame; I'm sure they make good movies in Denmark).

I disagree; American movies dominate Dutch cinemas and they're all subtitled. If there's a country where people can't read subtitles it's definitely Germany, with all their dubbing.
