Probably Been Asked Before...

I noticed in the soundtrack, the soung "The Swan" played by Tamsin when Mona first enters the house has the performer listed as Emily Blunt. Did Emily really play it? I was surprised, she was pretty good (being a cellist myself), and i assumed they had a stand it or she had it synced like in Hilary and Jackie. So yeah.

Yes, Emily Blunt plays the chello and she plays it twice in the film. She is also credited as the performer of "le cygne" (hope i got the spelling right). Natalie Press once said in an interview that Blunt was a very good cellist, but Emily denied laughing. Anyway: I think she plays quite well and the fact that the performance is not perfect just adds to the credibility.

wow, yeah she was pretty good (the first scene she was amazing), and i think you're right. She messed up a lot on the tennis court. I think that's cool, because it seems like nobody plays the cello. Where's this interview that you're talking about? Is it like a manuscript or can i find it on youtube as a video?

OK, it took me quite some time and I am pretty sure that I actually heard a different interview (a female interviewer talked to the two actresses in a park as far as I can remember), but I found a longer one. Actually the longest I have ever heard or seen with the two girls. The other one seems to be taken off the net because I coud not find it anymore(used every search machine I could think of)! If I find it some time I will post it here.

So here is the link for the interview:

The quality is good and it is quite long and informative. They also talk about the cello playing (towards the end) and as far as I can remember Emily says the same things as in the other interview that i mentioned (almost)

Enjoy!

Thanks Lacoby.

I don't intend to be offensive, but I have to defend my opinions.
