For me, it was quite the opposite. The ending finally explain the lack of real chemistry between them (perhaps the dreadful Hungarian dub was responsible for that, but still). Besides, while cute lesbian fluff is... cute, it doesn't make for much of a story without any sort of drama or difficulties to overcome. I remember thinking at the start of the movie that it was pretty unimpressive, but eventually I started to realize the story was actually pretty interesting. For a while I'd been thinking that this would be some kind of "Tamsin is actually a dream/hallucination/figment of Mona's imagination", but Phil talking to Tamsin crossed that theory out, and I was pretty thankful for that - and an interesting ending.

This, on the other hand, is a slightly different genre. Perhaps feels like a bit of a bait & switch if you were looking for the likes of the above, but oh well.
