I wonder what happened...

I just saw this movie the other day for the first time on TV, was kind of interested but as the movie went on, I started to get this nagging feeling that something was just wrong. Then at the last twist of the movie, my feeling was confirmed.

Whomever wrote this movie, I wonder what happened with men in their life. It's pretty obvious there is a glaring psychosis with this writer, as pretty much all of the men are gay and having affairs. There were three straight, minor characters in this movie to my recollection. One of them an adulterer, the other tried to break up a marriage and the other was stabbed (phallic symbol). And there's poor Glenn Close, the glamorous fallen movie star with her cheating husband. So plain...so used. And let's not forget her daughter, who selflessly passes up her once in a lifetime opportunity to stay and marry her man. But silly, stupid woman, this movie is called Heights, so of course her fiance is going to turn out gay.

I'm gonna just take a shot in the dark here. I see a woman wrote this, so miss, from the bottom of my heart, I'm sorry that a) your dad abused you; b) you weren't good enough for the man you really wanted; or c) you weren't born with a penis. Those three broad categories should cover it. Get it....broad? Hah! Oh, darn my manhood!

Sell crazy someplace else, we're all stocked up here.

So, So, So.... funny...you may be a little rough on the writer but there is some truth to a hand full of writers whom just about anyone can tell has issues with men. There are even some that are famous. It is easy to get [some]women on board who can't see past the writers issues, so a lot of times [Writers with issues on writing males in a good light with females] male bashing is not even noticed/mentioned.

If the roles were reversed [females being gay]the movie would have been received differently, Brilliant some would call it, or the emphasis place on the cheating partners love interest and would end with them falling for the person other than whom the are with.

I don't know how many times I have seen a film where the woman finds out she likes other women but she is engaged or has a boy fiend. We all know who she will choose, a favorite for some female writers.
