Who demands that EA make a sequal?!?!

I do. I want a sequal, where nothing in the game is changed. I just want a sequal where the missions continue, sort of like an expansion pack, but a seperate game, that continues with Russia being overthrown. The control system in freedom fighters was ingeneous with the 3-button command scheme. Wow!

Thanks man. This is good to know. I hate the cube, so, no problems here.

i luv this game so much, and you're right about saying how they should keep everything exactly the same. but i think there should be more action goin on during normal playing, like when the bombs are being dropped on the street at the beginning, and people are runnin about screamin, and ya got tanks and choppers shootin stuff up. its cool.
shame about it not being on gamecube, they havent had a good multiformat game released for a while.

reply

Why do you hate the Cube? It has the best system-specific games on any system. I'm not a fanboy, as I also own a PS2 and buy games for my cube, ps2, and computer.

No, not more action packed sequences, keep it quiet as it builds up the tension that way. And I have to agree, if there i any one game I know today that deserves a sequel, its this.

Bloc Party dont suck as much as I thought they did.

i dont want a sequel like.. Freedom fighters 2... the socialists attack america.. again! its up to chris stone (i think that was his name) to save the usa again!
thatd be stupid
i want somethin like... the nazis take over america, and you take control of a different char in a different state, like, maybe LA. or even another country like england or iceland

reply

i think it was a great game just the squad based gameplay alone makes it a superb game, the controls were simply and easy to quickly use and your teammates AI was good for once and as for multi player it's a great party game

I really hope there will be a sequel.
But there would have to be a few things changed. for example
- a 2 player coop mode, either storyline or based alone missions.
- more ammo for other weapons than the ak
- perhaps situated in europe or something... the revolution may have swept over
- make the character climb or crawl, and if in crawl mode increse the hit potential of guns
- create own character? (just as simple as in Jedi Knight 3)
- maybe even gain points by succeeding in missions, so you can buy stamina accuracy / or special gadgets like kevlar vests, smoke grenades...
- make certain cars usable Jeep (but not tanks - would be too easy then)
- dont change the controls - they were superb!
...i must say that i even consider writing i-o interactive.....i just need this sequel..would be too sad if they dropped it

reply

Yeah, more potentail to be able to travel about anywhere in a certain area.

Coop mode would be terrific like Brothers in Arms almost as one person controls a Fire Team and another controls an Assault Team(dont make it too tactical though)

Usable vehicles would be a must. Piling your team into an APC and charging headlong into an enemy fort would be a great experience. And usable weapons like mounted machine guns on these.

A different location than just NY. Or maybe starting in NY as your created character and sweeping across the country, giving the game more variety in missions and the like.

Don't know about tons more different weapons. Of course there needs to be more but do't overdo it. I kinda liked the idea of the AK being your constant pal in the first game anyway.

Overall a sequel to this game would be amazingly promsising.

Well, I have good news for you guys. I also put up a post about this, for a fellow Freedom Fighters fan wrote to EA Games and IO Interactive about their announcement about Freedom Fighters 2, and they got an official reply from EA and IO saying that they are currently in production, and that the game should be ready to be shown at E3 2007, and it should be released sometime in late 2007, early 2008.

Well it's january and I havent heard anything.....jerkwad!

I read an article a while back saying it was 'still in the pipeline'. We may see something in a few months or so. And if not, oh well. Probably best not to expect anything until they say "Here it is".
