I know everyone has been dissing this movie left and right--and lots of it with good reason--but I think the costumes and sets were pretty decent. The chicks were hot even if the sex scenes were nothing special. Reminded me of The Ninth Gate without the excellent acting, art direction, script, directing, etc... Some of the shots at the end in Venice weren't bad, either.
Of course, I didn't pay for it and it was the only thing on at 1am

I have to agree, this was a decent vampire movie, better then some others I have seen. I know the Elizabeth Bathory legend as well as the connection to her as a historic character, and thought the lead actress did well in the role. There was little special effects, horror or gore, but it had some great sets, costumes and the characters were three dimensional. I didn't care for the lezbian scenes myself, but those didn't distract from the plot or story.
I've seen alot worse, it was good to watch, not scary or very bloody (even with the blood bath scenes), but enjoyable just the same.
And surprisingly this was one of the most factually accurate Bathory movie I've seen so far. And I've seen many...
