Will Ferrells best film

I'm not one to strictly not like someone in the film world and i wouldn't not go to see a film just because one of the few people i don't like is in it i will give any film, actor, director... whatever a chance to make good.

I am, very strictly, not a fan of will ferrell and i think most of his films if not all of them are ridiculous (aside from Elf which i quite enjoyed as a seasonal film). But i loved this film and thought Ferrell did a good job with voice acting. This is one of his better moves in the film world and i can't fault him for taking it.

As far as i'm concerned this is Will Ferrells best film. Anyone agree, or not?

Yeah, Will Ferrell usually annoys me in his films, but I think he suited this part.

reply

Definitely agree.
I can't stand most of Will Ferrell's stuff, but this was a cute movie.

reply

I just remembered half way through, that's Will Ferrel? He's not annoying in this one.

reply

will ferrell is my faivriote comedian yo and this was his worst movie not funny at all

reply

Comedian? I'm sorry my friend but you need a dictionary. He is not a comedian and non of his films are funny. Whilst you've got that dictionary look up a good word to describe Will Ferrell, look up the word 'talent' and then look up the word 'less'.

reply

I want you to look up the word 'Fragment' and then look up the word 'sentence'.
Also, while you have your dictionary open look up the word 'non' because it does not make sense the way you used it.

... u also need to look up these 2 words fact and oppinion its ok u will understand the difference one of these days poindexter

reply

i must be some sort of 27 year old boob or something because I think all of Will's movies are funny except for bewitched

Anchorman is the 2nd best comedy ever made (trailing to Clerks), and most of what Will Ferrell does is freakin' hilarious. The man is a genius.

reply

Well, Melinda and Melinda was lame and kicking and screaming had like three funny scenes but by far Old school, A Night at the Roxbury, Anchorman and now also Talladega Nights are the best Will Ferrell movies just because he could actually be funny w/ the R and PG-13 rating not a *beep* PG!!

"We've been coming to the same party for ten years, and in no way is that depressing!"-Anchorman-

reply

Will Ferrell is amazing. Along with everything else, no one has mentioned how hilarious he was as Mugatu.

"It's that damn Hansel. He's so hot right now"

reply

If you don't think Will Ferrell is funny your a very sheltered person, one who probably doesn't see much light of day and sits around whining and complaining about how *beep* your life is.

reply

Actually, I have to disagree with you. While it is in your open right to say whether or not he is funny (it is your opinion afterall), you can't say he is talentless.

I will start by saying I have to be one of Will Ferrell's biggest fans. Anything that he has a part in, I like. No questions asked. No exceptions... Melinda and Melinda? Yes. The Oblongs? Yes. That one episode of Family Guy where he played 'The Black Knight'? Yes.

He IS funny in MY opinion, he may not be in yours because everyone has different tastes. But that is not why I like and admire him so much. Will Ferrell is an excellent actor; I am sorry, but you can't deny it. Actor wise- he is great. Here's why:

1) He is limitless, meaning, he will do just about anything... even if it includes parading his gross naked body down a street in the middle of the night. (Old School). He plays so many versatile comedic roles and I am pretty sure that if he wanted to play a serious role, he would do a much better job than say Adam Sandler or Jim Carrey. I have to say that Melinda and Melinda was a MUCH MUCH better film than Spanglish. Yuck.

2) I have never seen an actor take on their role quite like he does. He really gets into it. You can see so much emotion in his face when he is playing a character. I think this is partly due to his exposure to the stage of SNL, but even on SNL he was really good at playing his roles. (Along with Chris Kattaan)

So as you can see, he isn't 'talent-less', he just isn't funny to YOU.

curious george and talladega nights are his best

His best film ever. Will Ferrell does a awesome job in voice acting. Didn't know he was talented in voice acting. It was a huge suprise to me. Anybody else agree?
If you read the trivia for this movie, they said they casted arnold scharzenager for the man in the yellow hat role in the 1990's. Good thing he rejected it.

I thought it was one of his best along with Elf. I reckon simple humour suits him best and if he wanted to i think he could do well working in the family films.

reply

I dunno. "Elf" is still one of my favorite movies of all time because of Will Ferrell. But CG is pretty adorable, too.
