Anyone consider the fact that...
Filmmakers will often create a film that deals in people's fantasy fears and wasn't trying to be realistic?
1. Yes, we know it's impossible to get locked into a train station, but have you ever taken one past midnight before? Haven't you ever remarked to whoever you're with a joke fear "I hope we don't get locked in!" Although security guards exist as do maintenance workers, the actual station itself is quite the scary ghost land with nothing but the sounds of florescent lights humming.
2. Yes, we know that the abandoned train with a dead body exists, as do numerous other dead bodies. However, this isn't going to hinder the fact that the stations open their gates at 5am. If a train had been coming at the end, then complain, but two businessmen walking down and waiting is not a major plot hole. It's just a sign that the stations just opened and no one had discovered the dead bodies yet.
3. Trains were not periodically running throughout the night. Craig was using the one he killed the conductor in, and yes, we know the improbability of train theft occurring in reality. This too deals in a fantasy fear.
I enjoyed this movie(clearly) and I feel it gets a lot of unfair criticism. I mean you're dealing with an experimental creature killing people in a subway in the first place. A few "that couldn't happen because..!" is bound to occur in a horror movie.
