Creep = Crap?

Creep was crap?
Well almost.
It has no real STORY that follows along, just endless gore and blood and tunnels and gore and tunnels and blood and ...
And yet it started with so much potential.
And had the same old annoying things, like: why didn't anyone kill the monster/guy ~ they always kinda' injured him, and then kept running.
And why do we NOT see him for half the movie, and then ONLY see him in all those scenes at the end.
And why doesn't he KILL the woman when he has a chance?
DAMN! Same old, same old....
I'd give this one an 8 for gore/blood/tunnels, and a 4 on the overall horror scale.
{PS loved the dress}.

So, in other words, like too many horror films, characters do stoopid and/or nonsensical things. Generally speaking, if most of the people that populate these movies had any brains in their heads there would not BE a movie. (Another trope: Ever notice that the hero/heroine/potential victim, if s/he is carrying a weapon, s/he will ALWAYS drop/lose it...and if there are potential "weapons" around, they will be ignored (for example, the "laboratory" scene in "Quarantine.")

In the 1970s, CREEPY magazine (a b&w horror anthology comic book) did a great story about how most people in horror films do INCREDIBLY DUMB stuff...as this was YEARS before the "Scream"-type films (IE, horror films that acknowledge horror film tropes/conventions), I wish I'd've saved it.
