I think....It was all a dream! I think she was a homeless person the whole time! And she dreamed of meeting George Clooney, being a rich girl! A girl with lots of friends, a nice job and all! But, to be honest there were a lot of scenes that didnt made much sense, like the train being abandoned with the dead body "driving it"... Guy chasing her, when the station was closed... ETC.. I think she dreamed it all....And she has always been a homeless person with a homeless dog :( .... A dream that started out like a DREAM(George Clooney) and ended up in a nightmare(The Creep)! BTW she was in the exact position like the homeless girl was in the beggining of the movie with the dog.... In her inconsciense....that was herself...But she was in a dream sooo yeah... And idk if u people noticed....But theres a scene near the end just before the black dude and Kate began fighting with the Creep, theres a scene where u can hear the dog dying... The dog appeared again in the ending...Why?? Cause she dreamed it all! Well, thats my theory A great horror film in my opinion! 8/10

There wasnt a dead body driving the train. The Creep killed the conductor.

I dont think it was a dream.

Rewatch the end and look @ Cate's eyes. From the look on her face Teh Creep got up and was about to kill her.

Exactly! The creep killed the conductor! So who was driving the train?? A dead body!

Yeah, but the train stopped, so the dead body wasn't really driving it.
And while I respect your viewpoint, I see the ending as more of an example of irony. The homeless girl at the beginning that she ignores is what she (sort of) ends up becoming at the end. It's sort of a social commentary, the thing we fear becoming is what we become.

The train stopped because the driver died at that moment, it's called a dead-man's switch and all UK trains have them. If you embed a metal spike in someone's head their train will stop, exactly as happened in the movie.

Also she was not in exactly the same position, Mandy was in front of the turnstiles up at the station entrance, Kate was down on the platform.
