Cargo vs Pandorum

i really loved Pandorum and its one of those movies I will have to keep dreaming of a sequel.
Some time ago I found this one on my local DVD store and it reminded me of Pandorum.
How is it compared to it?
And dont spoil so much if possible haha.

Yangzom Brauen stars in both. And they are both set in space. That's it as far as I could tell.

You don't know sh!t, Jon Snow!

Check out a TV show called "The 100" if you enjoyed "Pandorum" ... you will find some similarities.

There are some similarities, but IMO, Cargo tells a more intelligent, coherent story than Pandorum.

reply

Perhaps, but this was a typical horror style complete with the "let's split up to cover more ground" line. Pandorum OTOH had a very rich, dark atmosphere. Or maybe a better soundtrack? This wasn't bad but I liked Pandorum more.

reply

The 100 is teen drama in a somewhat scifi setting.

Apples and oranges.
Only the oranges are all obnoxiously over dramatic teenagers.

reply

Yes, they are similar and came out in the same year. I would prefer Cargo - less stupid action, more intelligent. But Cargo is not perfect either.

reply

Pandorum is just Descent in space....nice though, better screenplay

SO cargo is just Dark City reprise?

Thanks for the spoiler there.

Just watched them both for the first time. Pandorum 8/10, Cargo 3/10. I thought Pandorum was a little bit lightweight and low-budget but Cargo is far, far worse in that regard. Cargo has nothing on Pandorum whatsoever.
