How would you rate "Beautiful Girl" and give a good reason why you rated it that way. I'm just curious to see what other people thought of this movie....

My friend and I thought this movie sucked. We would give it MAYBE .5/10. And that's only because of the hot actor that was her finace. It was about breaking weight stereotypes, but it stereotyped most of the beauty pagaent girls as being airheads and bitches. Plus she's too short to be in any beauty pagaent, and she would never have a gorgeous finace, and that's not because of her weight, it's because she was annoying. Realistically, she would never even come in 2nd in the first pagaent to begin with, because of the way she looks, and the fact that she can't sing. Also, the dress that her sister made for her was a halter, and in the pagaent it had ugly sheer sleeves. Every copy of this should be completely destroyed so that no more human life is wasted watching it. It was crap.

I'm watching it on TV for the third of fourth time, I just love it!!
The colors in the background are fabulous!!! The mother's house that hadn't been redecorated since the 70's, and her house with those orange polka-dot curtains, and blue 'kitsch'en. It's just great! (Same color mine is!)
I love the fact that she loses herself in the whole pageant and becomes what she was trying to defeat, by not being herself.
Her character is positive, and very witty! (Pretty similar to Tracy Turnblad!)
I think every young girl should see this film.

One of the worst movies I have ever seen- it had absolutely no character development, the music was awful and overall the movie was just strange. But that's what you get for watching a made-for-tv movie...
Ok I also think this movie sucked. One I also agree that it was completely unbelieveable. And the fact that she had to sing such a really badly written and badly sung song about being beautiful no matter what anyone says...was annoying. On top of that if you don't care whether anyone else thinks you are beautiful then why are you in a pageant to begin with? I am an obese girl that was just annoyed by the characters and the whole story. And have to agree that the fiance was definitely cute but he probably wouldn't have dated her.

there is a whole big world of men out there that is very smart and sexy who love a good bbw. do a internet seach on bbw and look at all of the new clothes, night clubs, and groups. then take a good look at the men. i loved the movie and thought it is something i want my daughters to see.
