Get over the minor loopholes!

SPOILER ALERT

If you don't get why Russell Crowe's character killed his own gang members and why he was infuriated at Christian Bale's character dying, then the fault doesn't lie with the movie, it lies with your IQ and your EQ.

I'm astonished at the number of people here who just can't seem to digest the character development in the movie.. Ben Wade is a criminal. He does what he like depending on how he feels. Do you think he gave a *beep* over his gang members dying? Hardly. Over Christian Bale's character dying? Probably. Why? Cos they spent a hell of a lot of time together, getting to know each other, and understanding and to a certain extent, respecting each other.

Can't believe people are criticising this movie. Almost as if they've got nothing better to do than find something that is praised and critically analyse it to shreds. A top quality, gritty, Western.

No there weren't, all the so called "problems" are just people nitpicking. That's all IMDb is anymore, trolls and haters nitpicking every movie to pieces.

Yeah right. Even Godfather and Shawshank have threads like "Worst Movie Ever". And there's not a single film that has come out in the past decade that hasn't been torn to pieces by haters and trolls on here. If a person actually believed them then every movie ever made is trash.

I can predict with 100% accuracy that every film that comes out, from now to the end of summer, will be trashed in its respective IMDb forum. I guarantee it. It'll be all "worst movie ever" and "waaaah plot holes" and "x can't act" and "x is a hack" and "shaky cam wah wah" and "wah wah cgi wah wah" forever and ever.

I think they're minor. Everything I've read in this forum has been one big "You're making a huge deal out of THAT?"

This discussion board isn't a hate fest either.

MINOR!!!!!

Yep.

A guy gets shot point blank with a Colt .45. the bullet should have gone straight through him and his intestines/vital organs and he should be dead from infection within a day or two, not riding around.

People have been impaled by two-by-fours STRAIGHT THROUGH THE ABDOMEN and had them COMPLETELY MISS their organs. It's entirely possible. It happens. Heck, people have been shot point blank in the head and the bullet just travels around the outside of the skull and out the other side. Getting shot and recovering in a short period of time because the bullet missed all the organs? Totally possible and not a plothole.

Then he has the bullet (the one that should have gone through his bod at 800-1,200 feet per second)removed like it was a splinter with unsterilized instruments, Hah!

And? It didn't hit anything important. He was just lucky enough not to get a bad infection. That also happens. It's amazing what the human body can overcome.

And that is just one of many implausibilities in the film.

So what was that about implausibilities again?

So you've basically just said that no matter how many of these "plot holes" are debunked as being possible (and vashsunglasses debunked it pretty well), you will never change your opinion of this film. It sounds like you decided your opinion on this movie before you even saw it.

Sadly, gotta agree. I actually like the movie, but that doesn't make it a 'good' movie. It's just a bad movie that I like.

'crawl back into my hole' is it? Well, you can just go d** in a fire.

vashsunglasses sounds like the troll here.
All the numerous "loopholes" can be theoretically possible, but plausible? not.
Why make a goofy movie, when it's just as easy to make a credible one?

Charlie and his gang, had to backtrack 80 miles while killing and changing horses, but seem to appear in the next scene.
For being a poor dirt farmer who could barely feed his family, that was sure an elegant house that Evans had.
Why would the Indians attack them at night, then go away and not bother them?
They were laying train track through Indian country, but didn't have any kind of security to keep bad guys out.
Evans must have had the best prosthetic foot, to be able to jump over rooftops.
