The Ending ( Spoilers..ofcourse)

How did it end? As I see it she either went into a coma like she had before, or shie dies. I assume she died because the guy took down the pictures of her. Maybe it was explained in the movie and I didn't pay enough attention, I would really like to know. Perhaps we aren't supposed to know just guess....

I'm quite certain she died after going into a coma.

reply

It's obvious that she dies even thought this is not said or shown openly.

reply

dunno how it isnt obvious that she died. she even left a note from beyond (ugh that part got to me badly)

reply

I must have a heart of stone, because I didn't even come close to shedding a tear. It was pretty emotional when the guy saw all her drawings, but not enough to cry over.

The scene that effected me the most was when the mom got her diary to write in it and she found the passage that her daughter wrote that thanked her for everything. That scene right there really touched my heart. Anyway its made pretty obvious she dies without having someone to voice that out.

what are u all talking about? the scene that got to me badly was when he destroyed the hawaian carton woman on the street and then cryed so badly...the cry was sorta contagious.

awesome movie, but i thought i ended quite fast, could be because i watched many better korean movies. Yet if it was my first korean movie i would say it's the best i've seen so far.

anyone could have noticed that she dies! the only thing that baffles me is when did they go to hawaii?! was the one i watched defective? because they show them under water and then it flashes back to the hospitol room..it was a dream because she remembers it, thus a picture she drew for him was of them upderwater. im confused!

reply

I didn't really pay attention to that particular picture, but I would venture that they probably discussed what they wanted to do in Hawaii. One of them would have been to go see sea turtles. Thus the scene underwater amidst the sea turtles.

I cried!! I love this movie.

omg I just watched this movie
it's SO SO depressing
I'm crying so hard right now

a really really moving movie T___T

I thought the sad part was when she reads her mom's diary... and even sadder was when it was raining and the crossing guard is crying. The sadness at the end was too drawn out for me.

You guessed it right, this was both a coma dream and a daytime fantasy for her.

The entire Hawaii scene was showing her accepting, that this is her fate, she met the ONE and spent time with him in the place she most desired to be.

She passes away after the kiss. Her first and only kiss...and it's was all a dream. It illustrates she dies happy! (wipe away tears)

As for the picture she drew, this was meant to show her anticipation for the Hawaii trip, and the things they were going to do there, like swim with the sea turtles and watch the sunset and finally kiss but alas she died before the trip. Most of this was probably inspired by the fact that he was reading about Hawaii too her, so her subconscious established a link.

A seriously heart-touching film.
