Tommy raped a woman why did they try to spin it?

It was beyond moronic seriously when a woman resists and fights, plus the man tries to force sex it is rape.

They believe the utter crap, or they attempted to not call what is obviously blood and call it ice cubes.
I mean this figuratively for things that are obvious but people call them something else which could include conclusive proof the music city miracle was a lateral pass not a damn forward pass which instant replay showed along with pictures.

Raped who?

People believe Tommy raped Janet, and they cause a big uproar over it. What pisses me off though is that they completely forget that Sheila raped Tommy a couple episodes later, yet that is never brought up
As a matter of fact, she drugged him, raped him, destroyed his apartment, and led him to believe he fell off the wagon. Pretty sure that's a little worse than Tommy shoving Janet onto a couch and having consensual sex with her.

Yea, that's how i view it. Im re-watching the Series at the moment and Janet ENJOYED every second of that(Well, maybe not the first) but she fell for him again and that's what scared her throughout the series. She kept trying to get away but Tommy was too much. He certainly put in his efforts but he knew she was his... Sheila on the other hand... That WAS Rape and i believe thats why they played it that way. The whole series is full of contradictions.

Double standards and hypocrisy knows no limits

The beginning of that particular Janet sex scene disgusted me. No means no, no matter what the later circumstances. Janet did not want to have sex at the beginning - I definitely saw it as rape.

That being said - that Shiela thing was above and beyond, completely ridiculous that that is not mentioned in non-consensual sex. It's rape and it's abhorrent.

And how come none of Mike's unwanted sexual experiences are noted on this thread by the original poster?
