Why is nobody adressing this!?

All in all, the show is great, not like Dexter or Sopranos great, but pretty high up.

The only thing that this show truly fails on, is the special effects and their use of really cheap dummies/fake animals. You can clearly see they are dolls, also, using stuffed animals as a cat in the episode where they where rescuing a lot of cats, and the ceiling came down, just so annoying!

And what's with the always clothed sex scenes? If their not allowed nudity, why have so many sex scenes? It just makes everything so unrealistic!

Excuse my english, not my native language.

1. I would assume they used the cheap effects to save money. When you first start out creating a show you want to make it as cheap as possible that way it looks affordable for more studios. If it's too expensive then the studios would just pass. So they saved money there. Then considering the show was a hit and fans loved it even with the "cheap effects" then why would you start spending money that you don't have to? Not to mention it was on FX before FX was the big success that is today so again cheaper is better. That would just be my answer.

As to the sex, it started in 2004, it seems to me that the standards have became more relaxed now but back then they seemed a bit more strict, and better to be safe than sorry. It was on FX which is a basic cable station. Unless it is a premium station meaning a channel you pay for like hbo, starz, Cinemax, or show time then they can't really show nudity.

As for why they still showed sex scenes? Simple

Sex sells.

I guess you're one of those horny 16 year olds that's into modern stuff like Game Of Thrones and Call Of Duty.

I like the fact that the "dead" animals are obviously fake, so that I know they didn't use real animal bodies just for the sake of "realism". You get the point without the ick factor. This is just a television show after all...
