Huge Plot Hole

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this beofre but if the little time machine thing can only go back a few minutes and they need to go back hours, than why not go back a few minutes, than once your back go back another few minutes, and than another few mintues...

It would certinaly take a long time but by doing that you could go back as far as you want... a few mintues at a time.

Yeah I figured out that one too. Like to save her partner, he could have used
it right there to go back 10 minutes, then once back ten minutes, use it again
and keep doing that 3 times or whatever and they'd be back 30 minutes.

The slipstream can only be activated once at a time.

Once at a time doesn't mean once per year. He doesn't mention at any moment how it exactly works.

Once back, he could wait 1 minute and use it again. But shut up, you're killing all his time travel theory. Oh, now I remember, he never explained how it works, there's no time travel theory, excepting that string worms speech. Really great physics.

The device showed a timer which sets back when he starts it and then it unwinds until it returns to the present. Every time he jumps back he has to wait until time unwinds before he can set off the device again.

It's not a plot hole just because you don't want to accept the time travel rules that the writer set up.

Too much, too soon, too long, too strong, too many,
