American Remake?

I just saw this film at the VCU French Film Festival last weekend, which is the largest in the US. Tristan Aurouet, the director, was there after the screening to answer questions from the audience. He said that at the moment they are negotiating an American remake of the film...

I wish they would just release the french version though. It's so great just the way it is, and I'm surprised it hasn't been made available in the states, especially since the film is American-influenced (music, movies, etc.)

Anyone know any more about this?

I hope they'll release a subtitled French version too.

That would be so sad to see another great movie remade...
