Clerks rip off...SO what??? it was fun...

Let me start by saying that if every movie was 100% original, we all would have a totally weird sense about movies,,as we woulddnt be able to compare them!
same applies for every aspect of art, music, paintings, etc.etc.
Kisses and Caroms, is sometimes really funny,,,sure it resembles clerks, storyline is actually the same,,,but well, givven the choice of having I)clerks1 ,clerks2 and II)Clerks1 Clerks2 And kisses&caroms, i would prefer the second choice, having all films out!!
and the quote about rufus 13th apostle,(All from dogma, i know),,,but still, it pretty funny,,,!!!
i might see this movie again someday,,,

Glad you liked it. Recently, I was chatting with Kevin and he said the retail location run by kids is what makes it feel so Clerks like. He didn't think I set out to make a Clerks copy, but given an indie filmmakers limited resources, you end up with a talker in one location. Or a horror, or I suppose porn.

It doesn't matter if you set out to copy Clerks (and Smith) or not. It still takes talent to make a decent movie and this is a decent movie.

The writing, directing, acting, editing, photography, etc. are all on par, or better, for a decent movie. Nudity and an attractive cast always help, too. Comedy is hard and more jokes worked than failed, and that's better than most Eddie Murphy movies.

It's a solid 3 stars on Netflix and a 6 on IMDb.
